Clara Veyra began at a quiet workbench with a hammer, a sheet of copper and one simple belief: the jewelry you wear every day should feel as good as it looks.

It started with a hammer and a lot of patience

For thirty years I have worked with the same few tools: a small hammer, a well-worn engraving pen and a leather block that has taken more blows than I can count. Copper taught me patience. It does not like to be rushed, and it rewards you for slowing down.

Every bracelet begins as a plain, simple band. Then comes the shaping, the polish that brings out its glow, and the engraving: one petal, one feather, one curling vine at a time, until the pattern looks as if it has always belonged there.

I never wanted to make jewelry that shouts. I wanted to make pieces you almost forget you are wearing, right up until someone stops to ask where you found them.
